MORE INFO ON THE BLACK DOG YOGA DEEPER STUDIES AND TEACHER TRAINING PROGRAM:

As you may know, Black Dog Yoga is known for it's eclectic blend of Hatha
yoga styles. We offer Ashtanga, Flow, Anusara and a wide variety of
different levels of classes including Restorative.

We have developed our training program to successfully provide new
teachers with the tools to teach in a wide variety of styles. Two of our
faculty teach Anusara-inspired classes at BDY, and two teach in the Flow
style in differing levels. All of the faculty have a deep understanding of
proven principles of alignment.

Our training is designed around the arc of a class so that the students
become well grounded in good, solid, and intelligent sequencing. Phase One
covers opening a class; warm-ups, and sun salutations. Phase Two covers
the middle of a class; the standing poses. Phase Three covers the last
third of a class; backbends, floor poses, and closing.

Throughout the training you will learn teaching methodology and practice,
anatomy, philosophy, and chakra work.

You will graduate with the skills to be a successful and confident teacher
able to teach students with different needs and abilities - a trait that
is the hallmark of all good teachers.

Please check out our schedule and come take a complimentary class with
either Sigrid Matthews, Peter Barnett, Shari Goodhartz, and Maria Cristina
(who is a new member of the faculty)
